The CompFest 8 hackathon, with the theme “A Mission to Help SMEs”, is present as an application development competition for participants to create applications
within 24 hours to solve the real problems of SMEs in Indonesia.
The CompFest 8 hackathon brings a competition concept that focuses on the real problems faced by SMEs in Indonesia. The committee has collected the problems of several local SMEs so that participants can choose which problems they want to solve. It is hoped that the problem solving from the participants can be used by SMEs in need so that the CompFest 8 Hackathon participants can contribute to solving the problems of SMEs in Indonesia through the applications they make. This competition begins with the collection of application ideas that are made in the form of a proposal. This competition was participated by 152 teams from universities throughout Indonesia. At this initial preliminary stage, 30 best works will be selected to participate in the final round of the hackathon. The final round pitted 30 participants to complete the application within 24 hours which was held in Building C, Faculty of Computer Science, University of Indonesia, UI Depok Campus 16424, West Java Indonesia.
Application creation for 24 hours starting from September 17 at 10.30 to September 18 at 10.30. The activity continued with a pitching session and application demo. The 10 best teams will continue the second pitching session in front of all participants and judges. And finally, awarding night, which is the night of awarding for all finalists in all compfest 8 competitions, the 10 best teams will be present and 3 main winners will be announced.
